Mr. Chism is Bunnell Lammons Engineering’s Director of Transportation Services. Having graduated Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1982, he has 36 years of professional engineering experience. While Mr. Chism provided engineering services on numerous transportation related projects (airports, roadways, bridges, trucking terminals, etc.) early in his career, he has worked primarily on projects for SCDOT for the last 20 years. During that time, he worked on projects such as the I-385 Widening in Greenville County, Conway Bypass (SC 22), US 17 ACE Basin and the Construction Resource Management program. Mr. Chism most recently completed a Pavement Assessment for the entire Beaufort County road network and the management of the Bluffton Flyover project for Beaufort County. Mr. Chism has overseen roadway and bridge design projects, coordinated Public Involvement during the NEPA process and performed Construction Management. Mr. Chism teaches the SCDOT Foundation Inspection certification class and has served as an Industry Guest Lecturer for the College of Construction Management at Clemson University. He is a registered professional engineer in SC, NC, and GA.
Mr. Chism and his wife have two grown children and enjoy traveling and cruising. He enjoys spending time at his farm and is in the woods or on the lake whenever he can. Dan is also a certified diver.
